📜 The Legal Stuff

Yes, we have lawyers. They're actually pretty funny.

✈️ Terms of Service

Effective: When you clicked "I Agree" without reading this (we see you)

1. What This Is

FlyMacroPilot is an economic flight simulator operated by ScrewCap, LLC (yes, that's our real name, and yes, we're aware of the irony when discussing monetary policy).

This is a game. A simulation. Entertainment with educational sprinkles on top. It is NOT:

  • Financial advice (please don't sue us)
  • A replacement for an economics degree (though it's probably more fun)
  • An actual tool for running a G20 economy (we cannot stress this enough)
  • A guarantee that you understand what the Fed does (nobody really does)

2. Your Responsibilities

By using FlyMacroPilot, you agree to:

  • Have fun (mandatory)
  • Not blame us if you lose your imaginary economy
  • Not use your high score on a job application to the Federal Reserve
  • Accept that sometimes the simulation will crash your economy for no good reason (just like real life!)
  • Keep your snarky comments about our interest rate algorithms to yourself (kidding, we love feedback)

3. Our Responsibilities

We promise to:

  • Keep the servers running (most of the time)
  • Not sell your data to hedge funds (tempting, but no)
  • Fix bugs eventually (we have a list, it's... substantial)
  • Add more historical scenarios when we get around to it
  • Maintain our sense of humor through economic downturns

🔒 Privacy Policy

TL;DR: We're not creepy about your data.

What We Collect

Data Why Creepy?
Game scores Leaderboards, bragging rights ❌ Nope
Anonymous usage stats Making the game better ❌ Nope
Email (if you sign up) Account stuff, rare updates ❌ Nope
Your deepest fears about inflation We don't, actually ✅ Would be

What We DON'T Do

  • ❌ Sell your data (not even to the highest bidding central bank)
  • ❌ Track you across the internet (we have better things to do)
  • ❌ Share your embarrassing economic decisions with your employer
  • ❌ Use your gameplay to train AI that will replace human economists (tempting though)
  • ❌ Partner with Meta (we said we're not creepy)

Cookies

We use cookies, but only the boring technical kind that make the website work. Not the kind that follow you around the internet whispering "remember that time you caused hyperinflation in the 1970s scenario?"

We use Google Analytics because we like to know if anyone's actually playing this thing. Google's privacy policy applies to that data. We chose Google over Meta because... well, you know why.

⚠️ Disclaimers

The part where we cover our assets (see what we did there?)

NOT FINANCIAL ADVICE

Nothing in FlyMacroPilot constitutes financial, investment, legal, or professional advice. If you make real-world financial decisions based on a game where you can literally crash the global economy with a slider, that's on you.

NOT FOR ACTUAL ECONOMIC POLICY

If you are an actual central banker, finance minister, or head of state: please do not use FlyMacroPilot to inform real policy decisions.

We know the UI is pretty and the gauges are satisfying, but there are approximately 47 million variables we don't model, including but not limited to:

  • Actual human behavior
  • Geopolitical chaos
  • That one guy who tweets about crypto at 3 AM
  • Supply chain disruptions caused by boats getting stuck in canals
  • Pandemics (we've all been through enough of those)

Educational Purpose

FlyMacroPilot is designed to help people understand basic macroeconomic concepts in an engaging way. It simplifies complex systems for educational and entertainment purposes.

Think of it like a flight simulator: you can learn the basics of flying, but we wouldn't recommend landing a real 747 based solely on your simulator hours. Same principle applies to managing trillion-dollar economies.

Historical Scenarios

Our historical scenarios (Great Depression, 2008 Crisis, etc.) are simplified recreations based on real economic data. They are not perfect representations of what happened, and hindsight is always 20/20.

If you successfully navigate the 1929 scenario, it doesn't mean you would have saved the world from the Great Depression. It means you're good at a video game. Congrats!
